Why Should You Pay For Computer Protection?

As Apple has taken over the market for personal computers, the mainstream PC market (that is, the market that depends on Microsoft) has found a way to recoup at least some of its losses. They have decided to simply make their computers completely vulnerable to malicious attack from viruses and other types of malware. They do this in order to make you pay for added protection. Once you start doing this, you will never be able to stop.

They will want you to buy different softwares for viruses and then another for tracking cookies and spyware. And then you have to pay monthly fees to keep them updated. The more unscrupulous of those companies have made deals with the PCs to pollute your desktop with POP UP ADS if you let their free trial expire. If you have bought a relatively new PC, then you know what companies that I am talking about. The first time that it happened to me, I thought that I had actually CAUGHT a virus.

Can you imagine that, an unsolicited antivirus AD on my desktop that acted exactly like a virus? Ridiculous.

However, you do not have to stand for it.

Newer companies are coming along every day with free antivirus software online. And there are always the older companies with actual scruples like AVG. AVG still has one of the top rated online antivirus programs for absolutely free on their web site.

To fall into the trap of paying and paying and paying these PC companies and unscrupulous antivirus companies who are obviously giving each other kickbacks and engaging in unprofessional sales practices is not necessary. You simply do not have to do it.

Save your money for something better, like buying an Apple. But if you can't afford their outrageous prices (they cost almost 3 times as much as a comparable PC) then stick to the free stuff, and make sure to protect your own PC by watching the web sites that you go to and never downloading anything from the web or from other computers without knowing the source.
